what the hell is nyc cuisine?
born from a blue-collar Brooklyn-Queens upbringing, where experiencing another culture didn't require a plane ticket. All you had to do was walk up the block.
MDK pulls from the bodegas, red-sauce joints, Jewish delis, Chinese takeout spots, Caribbean kitchens, street carts and countless communities that taught me how New York eats.
No rules about what belongs together. No culinary ego. Just food with a story, and a whole lot of flavor.
